Certified Recovery Residences

If you’re in search of the very best for your recovery from addiction, look no further than Nextep. Nextep is the first certified recovery residence in all of SWFL. We are a level III-certified recovery residence through FARR (Florida Association of Recover Residences) and NARR (National Association of Recovery Residences).

The goal of Nextep is to provide you with supportive sober living for both men and women who are ready to take the next step in their recovery process. Located in Lee County, we have nine gender-specific houses that are nestled within quiet, residential areas in Fort Myers and Cape Coral.

We hope to foster both independence and the idea of structure within a 12-step program that relies on responsibility. As our resident, you can expect curfews, drug tests, and strict enforcement of our rules and regulations.

Recovery residences are an affordable, alcohol and drug free environment that provides a positive place for peer group recovery support. Recovery residences promote individual recovery by providing an environment that allows the residents to develop individual recovery programs and become self-supporting.
What is Required?

Each resident is required to perform assigned weekly chores around the house and be financially self-supporting. The residents are required to work, actively seek employment, or be a student enrolled in an accredited academic or trade school. Those permanently disabled and on Federal, State or local assistance are required to become involved in service to the home or community. All residents are required to attend a minimum number of weekly 12-step meetings such as Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous.
